Standing Shadow

Richard Hambleton (1952–2017) was a Canadian artist and pioneer of the street art movement. Best known for his iconic Shadowman series, he transformed urban spaces with life-sized silhouetted figures that appeared unexpectedly throughout cities. His innovative approach helped redefine public art and influenced generations of artists who followed. Today, Hambleton is recognised as a key figure in contemporary art history.
